Data in our study showed considerable similarity regarding chemical composition of the two essential oils. Results indicated that quantitative rather than qualitative variations in the com-position of the essential oils were observed. Results in Table 1 clearly demonstrated that both oils were rich in monoterpenoids compounds with respectively 85.15% for E. lehmani and 57.85%for E. astringens. These compounds were known to possess insecticidal activity against various insect species (Papachristos and Stamopoulos, 2002).
