primary school students’
attitudes towards English and its use in Turkey, supports the general contention
partially that the positive language attitudes let learner have positive orientation
towards learning English. The recognition of the importance of English as a foreign
language in Turkish society may not, interestingly, lead students to have active steps
in learning process. One of the reasons behind this result may be the fact that they
do not have positive attitudes towards the English language – which may be an
outcome of the education system of Turkey
