It was so much fun. Going through the rapids is like a log boom amusement park ride except you are in control with your paddle and you have to use your split second navigation skills to make decisions. You stop before each set of rapids, get out of your canoe, walk along the side and plan out your route. It is emotionally, intellectually and physically challenging and fun. I always wanted to try it again but was too shy to get involved with any canoe club. And now that I am not so shy, I can't do anything that involves adrenaline... so I'll just have to enjoy the memories.
