Any distribution of products from producers through intermediaries requires transportation. Several different methods of transporting products are available.
Truck – This ode is very flexible. Trucks can reach almost any destination relatively quickly.
Railroads are the most efficient mode when transporting heavy products over long distances.
However, rail transportation does not reach as many destinations as trucks.
If a product is shipped by rail to a destination that is not adjacent to a station, the goods must be reloaded onto trucks to complete the delivery.
