In this regard, SRT has carried out 15 projects during 2014-2015 covered four routes: the eastern main line (Bangkok - Klong Luk), the western line (Bangkok Three Pagoda Pass, Dawei Port - Ban Phu Nam Ron - Kanchanaburi - Laem Chabang Port), the northeastern main line (Bangkok - Nong Khai, Thanon Chira Junction - Ubon Ratchathani, Ban Phai - Naknon Phathom) and the southern main line or common routh (Bangkok - Padang Besar).
In 2020, it is planned that are over 1.000 km of double track will be completed which will enable SRT to have 25% if double track for its network
