Introducing the chart
-I'd like you to look at the slide. It shows a pie chart presenting how KU students spend their money. We asked 100 students and got the result.
Highlighting
-As a pie chart show students spend most of their money on food.
-As you can see, students spend ... on entertainment.
Contrasting
-Compared with food, students spend almost the same amount on snacks, which are about 33 percent of their money.
-They spend more money on transportation than on entertainment.
-The students spend only 12 percent of their money on entertainment whereas they spend 20 percent on transportation.
Explaning and interpreting
-The chart seems to suggest that KU students love to eat.
-This is due to the fact that they spend almost 70 percent of their money on food and snack.
-The result also suggest that entertainment is the least important to KU students.
