Consider that temps suffer bias, i.e. they may not naturally be included in the company the way that permanent staff are and may feel left out of the team. This is a reason to not have people on temp contracts too long. Generally, we should have an inclusion culture, which means including temps (especially 3 months+ temps) in company events, outings, surveys, etc. More especially, anyone we place on a long term contract (e.g. 12 months), should be treated as a full member of our team and be invited for full participation, as they are making a very significant contribution to our business.
