Adult mice were exposed for 10 weeks to low levels of
aluminum lactate in their drinking water and indices of an
inflammatory response in the brain were sought. All levels of
aluminum used did not affect body weight. Concentrations of
cytokines and their mRNAs were quantitated in cerebral homogenates
and immunohistochemical techniques were used to allow
a more precise localization of changes occurring. Even at the lower
