The components of MLE were determined by HPLC analysis using a Hewlett–Packard Vectra 436/33 N system with a diode
array detector (Hewlett–Packard, Palo Alto, CA, USA). The HPLC method employed a 5 uM RP-18 column (4.6 · 150 mm
i.d.). The MLE were filtered through a 0.22 uM filter disk, and then 20 mg/ml of the MLE was injected into the column.
The mobile phase contained two solvents: A, 20% acetic acid/water; B, 0.5% acetic acid in water/acetonitrile
