Glucose is oxidized by Glucose oxid

Glucose is oxidized by Glucose oxidase and produces gluconate and
hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peropxide is oxidatively coupled with 4-
aminoantipyrine and phenol.The intensity of the coloured complex
(quinoneimine) is proportional to the glucose concentration in the sample
and can be measured photometrically at 505nm ( 500-540nm).
