2.5. Preparation of pharmaceutical samples
All pharmaceuticals were collected from the local drugstore. Adenine phosphate (Hezhong Bio-Chemical Manufacture Co., China) and Acyclovir tablets (Sandoz, Slovenia), Zovirax™ cream (GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, GB), ZoviraxR Injection Dosage (GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, GB), FaglucidR (Synthesis AKO, Russia) were analyzed.
For analysis of tablets, five tablets were weighed and homogenized. An appropriate amount of the powdered tablets was dissolved in 0.5 mM NaOH. Then, the obtained solution was centrifuged for 10 min and filtered into a volumetric flask with an appropriate volume. The treated solutions were used as stock solutions for the experiments. The working sample solutions were prepared by diluting the stock solutions with 0.1 M PBS (the supporting electrolyte). For analysis of Zovirax cream, one tube (5 g) was released. An accurately weighed portion of cream was treated as the tablet preparation procedure. For analysis of Zovirax Injection Dosage, two vial contains acyclovir sodium equivalent to 500 mg of acyclovir were carefully mixed. An appropriate amount of the powder was dissolved in 100 mL of 0.5 mM NaOH. The sample solution of Faglucid was prepared by appropriate diluting this hemoconservant solution with 0.1 M PBS.
