Christmas Specials And New Year's Parties
Just a note before we present our list of Christmas and New Years specials and promotions in the area. It’s a good idea to make a booking for any of the following promotions since many of them tend to sell out, as has been our observation over the last three years of doing these listings.
At the Ambassador Hotel on Soi 11 there will be a Christmas Eve set dinner at the AM Cafe including roast turkey (see photo above). Christmas carols start at 7:30 PM. The price is 1,200 baht net. On Christmas Day there will be a buffet lunch at AM Cafe priced at 700 baht net. New Years Eve will feature “MEXICAN NIGHT” at the restaurant with an International buffet dinner including Mexican cuisine with live music and lots of draw prizes. Dance the night away and dine for 1,700 baht net.
At American Bar & Grill on Soi 8 there will be all-you-can-eat buffets on both Christmas Day and New Years Eve. Christmas Day’s buffet will consist of deep-fried turkey (see right) with all the trimmings for 895 baht plus VAT. On New Years Eve there will be a buffet of barbecued ribs along with Cajun dishes like shrimp etouffe, jambalaya and gumbo along with side dishes all for 795 baht plus VAT. At the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit there will be feasts and celebrations with live jazz, traditional carol singers, Christmas crackers, decorations and a special appearance by Father Christmas.
On Christmas Eve Rossini’s and The Living Room will be presenting an array of Italian antipasti, traditional European Christmas favorites, spicy Asian dishes, and desserts. Father Christmas and carol singers will add to the ambience and there’ll be live jazz with Joshua Lebofsky from 7-9 PM and the Randy Cannon Group with jazz diva Amanda Pucci Jhones. The price is 3,200 baht net for adults and 1,600 baht net for children and the buffet runs from 6:30-11 PM. Live jazz runs from 6:30 until past midnight.
On Christmas Day Basil, Rossini’s and The Living Room present a Buffet Brunch featuring an array of authentic European Christmas specialties including imported cheeses and cold cuts, meats and turkey from the carvery, dishes from live cooking stations and plenty of desserts. There is also live jazz from the international Joshua Lebofsky Trio. The price is 3,200 baht net for adults and 1,600 baht net for children and the buffet runs from noon to 3 PM. On New Year’s Eve the Orchid Café will present a Seafood Buffet from 6-11 PM including oysters and mussels, tiger prawns, salmon, and much more for 2,600 baht net for adults and 1,400 baht net for children. Afterwards, join the New Year celebrations in The Living Room or BarSu and receive a complimentary drink. Rossini’s on New Year’s Eve will serve a 4-course set dinner of Italian cuisine from 6 PM to midnight, including an appetizer selection of seafood and oysters. The price is 3,500 baht net for the 4-course set dinner or 4,900 baht net which includes wine pairing from “primoVino by Rossini’s”

Deutsches Eck Pub & Restaurant, the relatively new German place on Soi 20, will be serving two special set menus for Christmas from the 22nd to the 27th. Both start with spinach cream soup with smoked salmon strips and then there are two choices for the other courses. Menu 1, priced at 880 baht, includes roast turkey in the form of tender slices of breast meat on mushroom stuffing with gravy, served with mashed potatoes, chestnut red cabbage, brussels sprouts and baked cranberry-apple. Menu 2, priced at 990 baht, features a Beef Filet “Wellington,” an imported beef fillet with Duxelles (puree of chopped mushrooms) baked in puff pastry with hollandaise sauce and served with potato croquettes, broccoli with almond butter and Brussels sprouts. Mulligan’s Irish Pub on Soi 11 will be offering a set Christmas dinner of three courses on Christmas Eve from 6-11 PM and Christmas Day fro 11 AM to 11 PM. Hemingway’s on Soi 14 will serve a Special Christmas Buffet priced at 1,190 baht net with kids under eight eating for 350 baht net. Christmas Bonbons and a close up Magician will also be there from 5:30 PM on. The buffet closes at 10 PM. There will also be a new years Eve Buffet Dinner by advanced booking at 1,300 baht net. The Landmark Bangkok’s Atrium restaurant will offer a buffet of traditional festive cuisine that also includes King Crab, Australian Oysters, New Zealand Mussels, Tiger Prawns and a corner of Japanese dishes. There is also a carvery consisting of a choice of Farmed Turkey with Stuffing, Roasted Wagyu Beef, Honey Glazed Gammon Ham, Norwegian Salmon and New Zealand Lamb. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Brunch the price is 3,400 baht net (1,700 baht net for children from 6-12 years old). Groups of four persons or more save 50% on both of these days.

Christmas Specials And New Year's Parties
Just a note before we present our list of Christmas and New Years specials and promotions in the area. It’s a good idea to make a booking for any of the following promotions since many of them tend to sell out, as has been our observation over the last three years of doing these listings.
At the Ambassador Hotel on Soi 11 there will be a Christmas Eve set dinner at the AM Cafe including roast turkey (see photo above). Christmas carols start at 7:30 PM. The price is 1,200 baht net. On Christmas Day there will be a buffet lunch at AM Cafe priced at 700 baht net. New Years Eve will feature “MEXICAN NIGHT” at the restaurant with an International buffet dinner including Mexican cuisine with live music and lots of draw prizes. Dance the night away and dine for 1,700 baht net.
At American Bar & Grill on Soi 8 there will be all-you-can-eat buffets on both Christmas Day and New Years Eve. Christmas Day’s buffet will consist of deep-fried turkey (see right) with all the trimmings for 895 baht plus VAT. On New Years Eve there will be a buffet of barbecued ribs along with Cajun dishes like shrimp etouffe, jambalaya and gumbo along with side dishes all for 795 baht plus VAT. Deutsches Eck Pub & Restaurant, the relatively new German place on Soi 20, will be serving two special set menus for Christmas from the 22nd to the 27th. Both start with spinach cream soup with smoked salmon strips and then there are two choices for the other courses. Menu 1, priced at 880 baht, includes roast turkey in the form of tender slices of breast meat on mushroom stuffing with gravy, served with mashed potatoes, chestnut red cabbage, brussels sprouts and baked cranberry-apple. Menu 2, priced at 990 baht, features a Beef Filet “Wellington,” an imported beef fillet with Duxelles (puree of chopped mushrooms) baked in puff pastry with hollandaise sauce and served with potato croquettes, broccoli with almond butter and Brussels sprouts.
