The ILK signal pathway has been implicated in the regulation of anchorage-dependent cell
growth/survival, cell cycle progression, invasion and migration, and tumor angiogenesis (21,
22). We found that fish oil inhibited ILK protein levels in a dose-dependent manner in H1838
NSCLC cells (Fig. 1B). Similar results were also observed in several other NSCLC cell lines
(Fig. 1C); while fish oil had little effect on ILK protein expression in BEAS-2B, 16-HBE and
NIH3T3 fibroblast cells (Fig. 1D).
