In the fishery field, in order to ensure high levels of safety, qual-ity and transparency in seafood products, European Union foodlaw implements the principle of quality management and process-oriented controls throughout the food chain—from the fishingvessel or aquaculture farm to the consumer’s table (Reg. EC 852/04,Reg. EC 853/04, Reg. EC 1379/13, Reg. EC 1420/13).
