3. Results
Three adult baboons were challenged with adEBO
(strain with changed virulence for guinea pigs and
mice). Monitoring of clinical and pathological manifestations
of infection was performed daily. The incubation
period continued for 6–7 days (Fig. 1). Visual
observation of the animals allowed us to record the
increase in the following symptoms starting from the
moment of hyperthermia and to the terminal stage:
anorexia, adynamia, ataxia, and abasia. One animal
