and all these figures are almost independent of machine
rating (DeLucia et al., 1993). The same is also true for
aeroderivative gas turbines like the GE LM6000, whose
performance charts show great sensitivity to ambient
conditions, with maximum power output for an inlet air
temperature of about 10°C (50°F) (Casper, 1993). The dry
low-NOx version shows similar but smoother behavior,
with a nearly constant power output for inlet air
temperatures less than 8°C (46°F), decreasing above this
value (Figure 1).
