2. When Lord Rama was about to return to his dhivya dhama - vaikunta he took all the living and non living things in Ayodhya with him to the the place of eternal bliss, except for Hanuman. Because Hanuman politely rejected the offer of Sri Rama saying it is more of a bliss to recite Rama nama and listen to Bhajans of Lord Rama then it is in vaikunta. So Lord Rama hugged him and let him live for an eternity to enjoy the bliss of Ramayana. So yes he lives where ever there is Rama nama and Ramayana.
To answer the question, the mortal beings of todays world do not possess the bhakthi to see t Lord Hanuman in person. He may show Himself only when we have high standards of Rama bhakthi. So please do not claim that someone spotted some big creature and he is Hanuman. Hanuman can be reached by Bhakthi and not expeditions and adventurous journeys. :)
