Early in April 1992 , Lisa Stanley was working as a student intern at NorthCoast Bank of Great Northern located in the Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted, Ohio. As a senior at Case Western Reserve University majoring in Operations Management,was hoping to gain some useful work experience and have a chance to practice some of the skills she was learning in her classes. Consequently she was pleased and somewhat excited when , on her second day on the job, john Homenko , the Vice President of Operations, called her into his office to ask her to take on a special assignment for him. John explained a little bit of th recent hisnk's growht and the problem he wanted to assign her.
