Good morning ladies and gentleman. Welcome to kamphaeng phet. First of all I would like to introduce myself, my name is Kunlawadee nahuaynak. I would like to give you brief information general information about kamphaeng phet.
Located 77 km from Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet attracts far fewer visitors. Nevertheless It’s Historical Park also worth a visit especially for the 3 Buddha of Wat Phra Kaew. UNESCO World Heritage since
December 12, 1991, this large park in the forest adjacent to the city contains many temple remains. It is a good place for cycling around and a good introduction to Sukhothai visit although its temples
are in lot poorer condition. History and temples fan will also add Si Satchanalai to the program. The Kamphaeng Phet city, whose name means diamond wall has few monuments to visit: two museums devoted to objects and statues found in the area and its history and the remains of its fortifications (walls and forts). But the city has this quiet and friendly
atmosphere of small tourist towns. Great efforts have been made since 2011 to promote and attract visitors here. Today mostly are Thai. There are also
more and more tours offering to visit both Sukhothai and Kamphaeng Phet. The Ping River banks where the night market stands are nice.
There are quality and cheap accommodation but they are not numerous and pretty far from the Historical Park. The remains of the Sukhothai period are very numerous in the area.
Outside of the city, near the Bus Terminal in particular. The region also have several national parcs and hilltribes.
Kamphaeng Phet is a nice and relaxed step to discover history of Thailand. You may surprise yourself by staying several days seduced by the atmosphere and the desire to ride among the temples over again
