We see on the system, you modified the booking during the Guest's stay at your Hotel.
Did you inform the Guest about the cancellation fee of 1 night before you made this modification ?
Now, the Guest is surprised as they were not aware of the cancellation fees would apply.
The thing is that, when you made the date change modification on the system, the Guest received a new confirmation through our system automatically, informing the price adjusted to 1 night as he stayed, now as he is charged for the 2nd night, it is not mentioned on that second confirmation after your modification.
In this case, is it possible to refund the Guest as there is a confusion occured due to your modification ?
