In this lesson we will review the plan-to-produce functionality. The process for the plan-to-produce functionality starts with reviewing a BOM for a product. Next you'll need to run master planning and review the planned orders. After you review the planned orders, you will need to firm the planned orders. Then you will need to start the production order and report the order as finished. And finally you'll need to end the production order. Let's switch over to AX and I'll demonstrate how to complete this process. In this demonstration, we'll walk through the plan-to-produce functionality. The first thing we're going to want to do is review the BOM, or the bill of material, for a specific product. So we'll go ahead and navigate to the product information management, products and then release products. And this brings you to the released-products list. So for our scenario let's select product -- the high-end speakers. This opens up the product-details forms, which just shows you some more detailed information about this product. In order to review the BOM, what you're going to want to do is click the engineer tab and then BOM versions. And this opens up the BOM information for this product. Here you can see the bill of material line, so these are all of the items that are included in this kit or product of the high-end speaker, so it just gives you some more detailed information about what exactly is encompassed in this kit. So after we review the BOM, we're going to go ahead and run master planning. So we'll navigate back up here, and we'll select master planning, master planning again and then run, and then master planning. We'll look at our parameters here, and everything looks correct. And then once you have all the parameters set that you need, you can select OK, and this will run the master planning. You can see here the status message. That may take a few minutes. Once the master planning is complete, you'll see a little notification up here that the master planning item coverage was updated. So the next thing we're going to want to do is review the planned orders. So we'll go back to the product information management, and we'll go to products and then release products again. OK, and we'll go back to our high-end speaker product here, click down to the details. And then to review the planned orders, we're going to click the plan tab and then under requirement, net requirements. And this is just a list of the results of the master scheduling for this product. So as you can see here there's some sales orders ready, we have some planned production orders here. We have a production order that's in the advanced stage, some more production orders -- you can see the status here is canceled. So this just gives you a better idea of what orders are planned to go out, to be assembled and shipped. And now once we've reviewed the planned orders, we're going to go ahead and firm a planned production order. So to do this we are going to navigate to the production control module, and we'll select production orders, and then planned production orders. So here we are on the planned-production-orders page. We know our item number, so we can search for any planned production orders associated with this D0004. So we see we have one item here, so we'll go ahead and click that item. And this just gives us some more detailed information about that specific item and planned production order. We'll click the firm button, we'll check our parameters here, nothing else we need to select or modify, so we'll go ahead and click OK. OK, and once we click the firm button, we'll click approve and this will change the order status to scheduled. So we'll go ahead and approve the current planned order and select OK. OK, and now you can see that the status has changed to approved. So the next step in this process is to actually start the production order. So we'll go to production control again, production orders, and then we'll change to all production orders. OK, we can see here that we have our production order here for D0004. This is the one we just released for scheduling. So we'll go ahead and select this, product number, and we'll click the production order tab and then hit start under the process. OK, and we'll go ahead and start this planned production order. OK, you can see here the status has changed to started. After you start the production order you are going to report as finished, so again we are on the same production order. We'll go up to the production order tab, and we'll click report as finished. OK this just gives you a high level detail of some of the information about this product order, so we'll go ahead and click OK. OK, and you can see here this (indiscernible) message report has finished. And the last step in this process is to actually end the production order. So once again we'll go up to the production order, process and select end. OK, just some more informa
