Last year, the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 21) was held in Paris and the
Paris Agreement on new global warming measures for implementation from 2020 onwards was adopted. This is the first time that all countries, including developing countries, have come together to participate in global warming countermeasures.
In late May, the Ise-Shima Summit was held in Japan, and the G7 held discussions with the aim of
leading the international community in attempts to tackle climate change. For Furukawa Electric Group, it has become more important than ever that we make an active contribution to the future of a sustainable planet in accordance with our Basic Environmental Policy.
