This study has targeted to find out the Effect of Project Based Learning Method on scientific process
skills of prospective teachers of Science and Technology Education in biology lessons. To reach the
mentioned target, the pre-service teachers who shall be teaching at elementary schools were asked to
determine a problem related to the biology topics they were previously given, and to solve the determined
problem with the help of the Project Based Learning Method. During the project creation process, it was
tried to be determined whether or not the pre-service teachers’ learning the biology topics with the help of
the Project Based Learning was effective on their scientific process skills, and if it was, on which of them it
was effective. It is thought that it would be helpful for the pre-service science teachers to create a project
before they start work to see what kind of problems they might face in the future projects they shall create
related to the biology topics, and to determine how to solve the problems, and what scientific processes to
follow, and what principles to consider.
