In 1926 scientist schrödinger furthered the wave particle theory proposed by brogile. Schrodinger made an equation that changed the hydrogen atoms to electrons as a wave. This equation applied equally as well to other kinda of atoms. However this equation unlike bohrs made no attempt to find the path of the electrons around the nucleus. The equation finds a particular electron within a particular volume and space around the nucleus
- Electrons probable location: The wave function predicts a three dimensional region around the nucleus called the atomic orbital, which describes the electrons probable location.the atomic orbitals is like a fuzzy cloud. Density maps also shows where the electrons are most likely to be located.
