The technological aspect of the airline industry is the cornerstone of the airline market sector. Technology plays a role in several aspects of the airline operation. Initially, technology is vital to the innovation of existing products. Through innovation, airline corporations are able to effectively meet the changing needs of the consumer as well as the need to operate more efficiently. Though continual technological growth is necessary to survive in the airline industry in terms of consumer needs and operating processes, technological advances also contribute to the increasing demand for cutting tangible capacity and/or costs. The reduction of tangible costs is emulated through the replacement of labor and time; a situation that not only reduces the tangible capacity process but also restructures the process.
