Most EIS based screening methods are based on the low
frequency response (the 0.01–10 Hz region): they report the brakepoint
frequency (e.g. [13]), the impedance at a given frequency, the
frequency where the phase angle becomes 45◦, etc., and create a
pass/fail criterion. However, all these methods assume a coating
capacitance/pore resistance model, and therefore a basic shape of
the EIS response.
