Create a standardised inventory of the refrigerating installations stating:
- The description of the system (name/place/etc.)
- The electrical power absorbed
- The type of cryogenic fluid used
- The quantity of cryogenic fluid used
Identify the persons authorised to work on the refrigerating systems.
- Identify the refrigeration specialists/companies with the skills to work on refrigerating systems.
- Avail yourself of documentary evidence that the refrigerating system specialists/companies are authorised to work on refrigerating systems (e.g.: approval).
- Create the list of refrigerating system specialists using the tool: "list of authorised refrigerating specialists/companies".
Formalise the operations on refrigerating installations,
Fill out or have filled out, for all operations, an operation sheet stating:
- The name and contact details of the hotel (as operator of the system)
- The name and contact details of the person who performed the work
- The person's proof of authorisation (if necessary, e.g.: certification number)
- The system on which the work was performed
- The date and type of operation performed
- The type, quantity and destination of recovered cryogenic fluid
- The quantity of fluid re-introduced to this equipment, if applicable
Perform or have performed an annual leaktightness inspection of systems which are obliged to have this type of inspection performed by the regulations
Validate the cryogenic fluid removal/recycling company, to do this, you obtain the removal/recycling centre/company's proof of conformity documents.
Note: This also applies if the cryogenic fluid is generated and managed by an external company.
Limit the discharge of cryogenic fluid
- Take all necessary measures to avoid cryogenic fluid discharge.
- Do not voluntarily discharge cryogenic fluids into the atmosphere.
