Products and technology (e.g. alternative and augmentative
communication (AAC) devices) were primarily viewed as a
facilitator as they provided children with a means to communicate.
However, devices’ usability limited children’s opportunities
to communicate, as described below:
He could never take that [DynaVox] out of the bag, put it on
