We need a new SOP for the preparation of sliding window frames prior to gluing on glass, or we update the SOP 50037 with specific differences for each powder type. Could you create this as per below:
Akzo Nobel MN117A original powder:
MN117A, performed the best on sliding window fames via Scotchbrite sanding and using AFT SC-70 (or Threebond) cleaner prior to glue application. Cohesive glue failure resulted at ambient and 90oC.
Akzo Nobel powder YN100A/G (current powder in use now) on frames
YN100A performed the best in destructive tests on sliding window frames using current windows glue with alcohol wipe followed by priming with 3M Primer 94 and flash off before glue application. Destructive tests indicated cohesive failure through the bond at ambient and 90oC.
Akzo Nobel powder A2000:
A2000 performed the best in destructive tests on sliding window frames using current windows glue with alcohol wipe followed by priming with 3M Primer 94 and flash off before glue application. Destructive tests indicated cohesive failure through the bond
