During pre-implementation, any EMPs developed as part of the EA will be
incorporated in the agreements/ commitments between MWCI and the project- affected groups. Any capacity building necessary for implementation of the EMP will
be provided at that time. During implementation, the project proponent will ensure the EMP is incorporated
into the contracts used to implement the project. MWCI and facilitators will be
responsible for the supervision and will provide supervision reports and indicators for
monitoring and as required by regulatory bodies. The proponents will provide
supervision for projects with major environmental and social issues or for those
projects where unanticipated issues arise. Additionally, MWCI will provide project- affected groups and the general public with a means of filing complaints on
environmental issues (including noise and other nuisance effects). The project
proponent should respond to the complaint and provide records of complaints and
responses to the fund manager as part of the supervision reports.
