Fifty microliters of duplicated malondialdehyde (MDA) standard
(0–64 mM) or samples were mixed with 50 ml of SDS lysis
solution at room temperature for 5 mins. Thiobarbituric acid (TBA)
reagent was then added into samples and incubated at 95 °C for
60 mins. After that, the samples were cooled to room temperature
in an ice bath for 5 mins and centrifuged at 3000g for 15 mins. The
sample solution was measured by spectrophotometer at 532 nm
wavelength. MDA concentration of samples was calculated with
the formula: Sample MDA concentration. ¼ − , OD sample c
m Where OD
sample represents duplicated average OD of samples. C and m are
regression equation from Microsoft excel program.
