As part of Brand V2.O, which looks to review how we execute the brand across the group, following on from feedback received in the Asia focus groups, our new, more in depth, segmentation analysis and the output from the Global Marketing Forum in January which demonstrated the need for tighter direction on the brand, we would like to take this opportunity to review and tighten the brand guidelines accordingly.
The brand has been live for over a year now in some markets and inevitably there will have been occasions in this time when you and your teams have consulted the brand guidelines for guidance but either the content isn’t 100% clear or is missing altogether. The guidelines have evolved to some degree during this time, but we would now like you to review the guidelines with a fresh pair of eyes and let us know what is, and what isn’t working for you and where you need more guidance.
The below list is just a starter for ten, so please let me know in your region where you need better clarity and provide examples if possible.
· Use ‘Go Further’ – internally and externally and how?
· Use of brand purpose, brand positioning, fitness philosophy – internally and externally.
· Use of lifestyle imagery
· Use of ‘smiley’ imagery
· Use of redwash and black and white
· Employer branding
· Brand Architecture variants (Fitness First for women, Fitness First male only, Fitness First community).
If you could let me have your feedback by COP Monday 20th of April – either in a simple list form or if you prefer by sticky notes on the individual pages of the brand guidelines – which are available on Huddle. Also, if you have any local guidelines for social media etc, can you also please share these with us so we can build this content into the wider brand guidelines.
The feedback we receive will be used to help us evolve the brand guidelines, in conjunction with The Clearing, over the coming weeks and months...
Any questions please let me know.
Please also accept the invites to the design calls, I’m conscious that we haven't had any for a while and it’s a great tool for feedback and design discussions.
