is extremely misleading: it sounds as you are saying more than that you believe it (rightly or wrongly) to true-that not only do you believe it to be true, but that it is true. But if you are saying that it is true, then what does the "as far as I'm concerned" add? Is said to let you off the hook in case the statement turns out not to be true? But you cannot eat your cake and have it: you cannot declare that it is true an when it is shown to be false, claim as a defense that you said it was true only as far as you're concerned
