VI. PART SUBMISSION STATUS
MEI Supplier Quality Assurance Group will notify suppliers the results of the submission review.
After sample approval, suppliers are responsible for assuring that future production continues to meet all
customer requirements.
SUPPLIERS MUST NEVER SHIP PRODUCTION PARTS BEFORE RECEIVING MEI’s APPROVAL
VII. EXCEPTIONS
These submission requirements are mandatory for all MEI suppliers unless MEI Supplier Quality
Assurance Group has agreed upon in writing.
Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies will be determined using the inspection criteria of IPC-A-610
standard latest revision
VIII. TERMS DEFINITION
SAMPLE FOR CAPABILITY STUDY
1. A 32 sample parts, taken from a production run of 100 pieces as minimum, (Parts from each position
of a multiple cavity die, mold, tool or pattern are to be measured).
2. Each sample must be numbered consecutively.
IX. CRITICAL SPECIFICATIONS
1. The critical specifications will provide the basis for the supplier's control plan and process controls.
2. Capability studies will be undertaken by the supplier on the critical specifications and the results
entered onto the Machine Capability Report Summary (See Form 3 attached).
3. New component drawings will have identified critical and ongoing specifications with identification
symbols.
