Due to the advanced development of computer technology and faster worldwide travel and communication , the world is changing rapidly . There are many relevant
issues in design that must be dealt with to improve the quality of pur environment and to enhance the quality of life . The current focus of designer is on universal design and on health , safety , and welfare issues of the public . This course covers currently important issues in design , as well as human factors that must be considered , so student can become competent designers who understand clients' needs in the changing environment . The detailed concepts of anthropometrics and ergonomics , effects of behavioral patterns , and cultural differences regarding the perception and utilization of space in relation to the built environment are major topics .
