A proof of principle of this novel diagnostic was demonstrated in IREK (ehksperimental’nyj inzhektor) facility.A careful modeling of secondary electron trajectory is ongoing to extrapolate the results to the case of MITICA.Preliminary results showed that the expected electron current is limited by the reduced distance among successive array of swirl tubes in the MITICA calorimeter;nonetheless,with a suitable polarization and probe dimensioning it can be increased to a measurable value.
