he United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit affirmed a denial of relief requested in a petition for a writ of habeas corpus, and petitioner, who was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death by a Florida state court, petitioned for writ of certiorari and also sought a stay of execution. The Supreme Court held that petitioner's presentation of claims in a second petition for a writ of habeas corpus constituted an abuse of the writ where petitioner had presented each of those claims to state courts before first petition for habeas corpus was filed and where substance of those claims may have been presented in first habeas petition.
