A new data analysis method was develope d todetermine the concentration ofCarbofuran pesticides inthis study. The peak current and two specificareas ofthe cyclic voltammogr ams were calculated and served asthe dependent variables. The predetermin ed concentratio ns ofCarbofuran pesticides with vegetable juices were used as the independen t variables.The results indicated two new area
indexes have better precision than that the peak current.
No relationship could be established between the peak current and the standard concentratio ns. The numeric value calculated from the area between 0.5 Vand 0.9 Vof the cyclic voltammogr am was found asthe best index value. The precision ofthis index was better than that ofthe
other two indexes. The accuracy ofthe calibration equation was within 5ppm bythe adequate calibration equation .
The results of this study indicated the new data analysis cyclic method provided a noveltechnique totreat the cyclic voltammogram s and todetect the concentratio ns ofthe Carbofuran pesticides.
