Equity
Debt and equity instruments are classified as either financial liabilities or as equity based on the substance of the
contractual arrangement. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the
group after deducting all of its liabilities.
Equity instruments issued by the company are recorded at the value of the proceeds received, net of direct issue costs.
