Schick et al., 2008). As examples, 1) corridors are commonly used to link fragments of terrestrial habitat, and the effectiveness of corridor design depends critically on the movement behavior of target species (Chetkiewicz et al., 2006); 2) the success of no-take Marine Protected Areas depends on knowledge of fish movement within home ranges (Moffitt et al., 2009); and 3) for many species, the ability of species to persist in the face of global climate change depends fundamentally on their ability to find and relocate to suitable habitats (Hulme, 2005).
