2.6. Sludge dewatering study on kaolin sludge quality
The filtration test was performed to analyse the floc strength
and the water recovery capability (Chong, 2009). A Buchner funnel
with 500 mm nylon filter cloth was assembled above a graduated
cylinder (Lo et al., 2001; Lu et al., 2014; Wang et al., 2013). The
treated solution after Jar Tests was poured into the Buchner funnel.
The water recovery (filtrate volume) collected at 10s was recorded
and the SS in the filtrate was measured..
