Another factor might be lack of practice. The writer- an English Language teacher - is of the opinion that regular practice of the English language is very important for learners, especially in the context of Thailand where the national language is widely used. Hence, learners of the English Language seem to be deprived of the opportunity to practice. The students have insufficient time to practice English inside the classroom; while outside class setting, there seems to be dearth opportunities for practicing English Language. These issues, the writer opines, seems to contribute toward decreased motivation in acquiring oral proficiency among the English language learners in Thailand.
