After the void water balance has stabilised, the level is expected to remain below the crests of the pits. The final level will be maintained by a balance between rainfall, evaporation and groundwater throughflow. If the water level is high enough, it will discharge to the water table on the lowest side. Void water seepage is predicted to flow to the east of A-pit, west of c-H Pit and south of D-Pit and s-Pit. Water may also flow between adjacent voids such as between S-Pit to D-Pt and c-H Pit to H-Pit West. (Appendix B 43, Figure B-32)
