Even before we started to see these driftwood animal sculptures make their way across the web, we knew they were nothing short of amazing and that we had to write about them. Artist Jeffro Uitto finds lone slabs of driftwood along the coast of Washington and saws them together until he creates incredible works of art. Interestingly, many of the tools he uses are handmade by the artist himself.
It can take Uitto months to find the right piece and the sculpting itself can take years. While his gallery shows some gorgeous furniture pieces like throne-style chairs and gnarled benches, it's his Big Projects section that really shows what this artist is capable of.
