To determine the appropriate analysis periods for pulldown
after loading and for stable operation, average air temperatures
were calculated using the measurements from the
three thermocouples positioned in the top, middle and bottom
sections of the freezer. Averages were also calculated for the
temperatures measured in the centres and at the surfaces of
the four added food products. Fig. 3 shows these average
temperatures during the period following addition of the
warm foods listed in Section 2.2
