In the empirical sessions, Iris Bräuninger’s research (Switzerland) distinguished successful
from less successful D/MT interventions (Bräuninger, 2006): 11 dance movement therapists
checked their D/MT interventions per individual and per group after each of 10 sessions. Scales of the WHOQOL100, MLDL, BSI, SVF120 that showed significant results in the treatment groups were correlated with the intervention-checklists ICL1 (n=103) and ICL2 (n=128). Results showed that improvements correlated particularly with specific individual D/MT interventions and to a lower degree with group interventions. Positive correlations existed between individual D/MT interventions and improvement of quality of life, reduction of psychological stress and improvement of stress management. Regarding group-specific D/MT interventions, both positive and negative correlations were found indicating successful vs. less successful interventions.
