Business Reports
Business reports are written to communicate facts, ideas statistics and trends. Within the organization reports travel upward(to the top executives)laterally (between people of equal ranks) and downward (directives to subordinates) Reports may also be sent to people outside the organization for example to consultants customers goverment agencies etc.
Three common types of Business Reports
1.Memo Reports: inter office memo randums are used to communicate with other employees. Memos ate reports if they are written in answer to a request for information to report progress to make recommendations or merely state facts.
2.Formal Business Reports: the term formal in relation to businesss reports normally refers to the length general appearance and organization of the report rather than to its language
