Model development: The child protection
concepts, gained during focus group discussions
and semi-structured interviews, were used as the
first draft for the community child protection
model. This was then presented, to the community
members during a public meeting, in order to get
feedback and suggestions. The CNCP was given
the responsibility of revising the model to more
comprehensively reflect the community concerns.
The model then was reviewed by external child
protection experts, and presented to the community
group for consensus. This resulted in the final draft
of the primary prevention model for child protection
in the community.
