DISCUSSION
As a “social disease”, Government should consider
the importance of social determinants and prevent
TB spread into uninfected people in the community.
It requires a strengthening preventive action in
community to resolve this problem. Assessing
TB knowledge and perception in community is a
prerequisite prior to developing a proper strategy
to combat TB in community. This study revealed
that current level of knowledge about TB in urban
community is good, in general. People may obtain
information of TB easily from health care services or
television since they live in an urban city with a large
access to information.
