In the international standards of the ISO 9000:2005 and ISO 9004:2009 series (Quality management principles,
2012), the eight basic principles are provided, the use of which in practice allows companies to operate in the
agricultural sector, build their business processes properly, and guarantee the quality of their products to
consumers:
• the first principle: orientation of the manufacturer's activities to the client (to meet current and future needs
of the client);
• the second principle: desire for leadership;
• the third principle: involvement of all employees in the process of quality assurance within the framework
of production and sales;
• the fourth principle: process management;
• the fifth principle: systematic approach to management of the manufacturer's activity;
• the sixth principle: orientation of the manufacturer to continuous improvement of all of its internal and
external processes;
• the seventh principle: adoption by the management of the manufacturer of managerial decisions based on
objective facts;
• the eighth principle: mutually beneficial relationship of the manufacturer with all suppliers.
